Hi Extreme. Nice people!
Was that awesome or was that awesome? We're still blown away!
Over 250 Metality fans came to Bruchsal on October 18th to attend our general meeting. More than 450 tickets were sold for the subsequent 2nd Metality Metal Meeting.
For those who couldn't make it (sorry, you missed a pretty awesome party), here's a brief overview of the key findings (don't worry, we'll keep it brief; if you'd like more detail, you'll find the full presentation attached to this newsletter). Just this much: There are many of us, and we're growing!
Elections: (Almost) everything stays the same
After the board members and auditors were discharged, the elections began. The current Metality board was confirmed in office: Florian Döring remains first chairman, Sylvia Dudda second chairman, Chris Schmidt treasurer, and Patrick M. Martin secretary. Our auditor, Christiane Springer, was also re-elected. Auditor Carsten Dietrich was newly elected. He replaces Wolfgang Rduch, who did not stand for re-election for personal reasons. At this point, a huge thank you to you, Rudi, for all your hard work so far!
Amendment of the Articles of Association
The proposals for amending the statutes distributed with the invitation were also accepted.
First assembly, then demolition
There's no question about it: We Metalityheads showed how to party REALLY on Saturday in Bruchsal. The place was already rocking during Elvenpath's set, and Grave Digger rocked it – including a polonaise (of which there's even supposedly video evidence...). We're certain: This Metality Metal Meeting will be remembered for a long time, not only by us, but also by the bands and the few (still) non-members in attendance!
Speaking of evidence…
Every Metalityhead who attended Bruchsal will surely have the best pictures of the evening in their minds. For those who weren't there (or perhaps simply can't remember due to the frequent "Cheers"), we've put together a Bruchsal photo gallery. Click through below!
Chapter Head Meeting: Workshops for Even More Extremes. Nice People
Before all the Metality heads headed off to the general meeting and subsequent celebration on Saturday, 60 chapter heads were already busy on Friday: At the chapter head meeting, they worked in workshops, shared key insights from Metality's involvement in festivals and camps, and discussed how to improve the work at the regional level in the future. And they made lots of Metality Pool noodles for the chapters!
