Metality is a not-for-profit organization. We want to bring the values and beliefs of heavy metal into society as a whole. We've created a worldwide network of metalheads - artists as well as fans - who support, help and encourage each other. It is a no-brainer that we'll help and support anyone who stumbles and falls in the moshpit of life. We also interact with each other regularly, both globally and locally via numerous local chapters. In addition to our own events, we organize social activities, support charitable projects together or simply attend concerts together. You want to join? In view of the low administrative costs (we all work for the club on a voluntary basis) almost all of the money that comes in goes directly into the network and charitable causes. Any surpluses we might have get transferred to the Metality Foundation.

We really don't like rules or boundaries. However unfortunately, without a few of each, things won't really work here either. We actually only have to stick to one rule: we should behave here like we do at festivals and concerts. And the whole world admires us for that. In detail this means:

We live tolerance. What matters to us isn't what you are, but who you are. We don't care what you look like, where you're from, or what or who you believe in.

We respect each other. We accept everyone as they are. We treat others like we would like them to treat us.

We show compassion. If you fall in the mosh pit of life, we'll help you back up.

We speak openly and honestly with each other. We say what we don't like and we look each other in the eye.

Most of us have big egos - but also the strength to put those egos aside in the service of the cause

We forgive mistakes. We don't kick a person who is on the floor. We'll just do it better the next time.

We are mindful. Not just in dealing with each other. But also in dealing with this planet.

We don't advocate politics of any sort here. If metal is to be political - then in the sense that everyone has the freedom to live as they choose. As long as he or she allows everyone else to do the same.

And oh yes: There is no room in our hearts for hatred and discrimination.
