Lingen, where is that? “In Emsland, EMP is coming.” Metalheads are now in the picture. Lingen is Metal: Hometown not only of EMP, but also of the Lethmate Foundation, of Rock Entertainment, Rock Range, Emili eV, “Rock das Leben” and many active people who are up for “Rock for everyone”.
Extremes. Nice people – there are plenty of them in our beautiful hometown on the Ems. Lingen is the largest city in Emsland, a city with history, a fresh look forward and simply an inspiring environment for
different people.
Loude, young music and inclusion as well as social interaction are the heartbeat of the city and the Lingen chapter. The region's metal culture is at home here. Our “Kinderstübchen”, the Alter Schlachthof youth center, regularly invites rockers to neck contests. The LAUTFEUER Festival attracts thousands every year to the meadow at the old nuclear power plant - traditionally free and outdoors. Many other musical events take place throughout the year and throughout the city: the range extends from small performances
Local rock bands in the pub to slightly larger ones in the KanuCamp or at the old town festival to concerts by international big names in the Emslandarena.
