A warm welcome or a short, drawn-out “Joou” from the Karlsruhe Chapter – Hardt & Heavy.

Even those unfamiliar with the area will find Karlsruhe... the Hardt (actually the Hardtwald), which inspired the little play on words in the chapter name, will be familiar to few others. It stretches north and south of Karlsruhe along the Upper Rhine Plain, roughly from Rastatt to Graben-Neudorf. The chapter began mainly in the northern Hardt in Dettenheim, but our chapter members are now spread across the entire catchment area, from Pforzheim via Marxzell and Ettlingen, across the Rhine into the neighboring Palatinate, the Rhine-Neckar region, and beyond. There are, of course, overlaps with the chapters in Kaiserslautern/Palatinate, Rhine-Neckar, Odenwald, Kraichgau, and even Stuttgart, but that's precisely what makes it so great and promotes the networking spirit.
