Introduction

In this guide, we'll explain how to find your way to our new Metality community at campai and what you can do there.

Registration

For mobile use, it's recommended to install the Campai app. However, you can also use your browser; it works almost identically. On a PC, of ​​course, you don't need an app and can use your browser directly. All common browsers are supported.

After you have filled out the registration form, you will first receive a confirmation email to verify that your email address is valid (please check your spam folder if necessary). Once we have accepted your membership application (this can take approximately 24 hours), you will receive another email with the confirmation and some further information. Please click the “Accept invitation” button in this email.  

In the registration dialog:

• • Scroll all the way down (!) and select "register now" for a new account.
  • Enter the same email address you used to register and your desired password, then check the box to agree to the terms and conditions. Language selection???
  • After setting your password, you will be asked if you want to join the community; select “join now”.
  • Enter the same email address again and you will be automatically added to the Metality Community.
  • You will now be automatically added to the room with the Metality News.

Registration for existing members moving from Kurabu

Upon switching, you will receive an email with the invitation to campai. Please click the “Accept invitation” button in this email. 

In the registration dialog:

• • Scroll all the way down (!) and select "register now" for a new account.
  • Enter the same email address you used to register and your desired password, then tick the box to accept the terms and conditions.
  • After setting your password, you will be asked if you want to join the community; select “join now”.
  • Enter the same email address again and you will be automatically added to the Metality Community.
  • You will now be automatically added to the room with the Metality News.

Where can I find what in Campai?

Campai app (or website)

First, you see current club topics, upcoming events that you have booked (which are initially empty, of course), as well as room and membership information.

At the very bottom, there is always the option to return to the homepage, access the room overview, book official events (“Offers”) or customize your own profile via “More”.

Current rooms

Unlike WhatsApp, all messages and information about which topics were created, etc., remain permanently visible to everyone, especially the past!

Metality NewsThis is where club news is published; you'll also receive push notifications in the app when there's something new. You can also like posts here.

Chat (groups)

You can start direct chats with individual members or create a chat group and add members to it. New members must be added manually. Therefore, the chats are only suitable for personal communication, similar to WhatsApp, and not for official club communication. A menu can be accessed at the top of the group chat. Here you can later add or remove members, appoint people as admins, mute them, etc.

Offers

The next upcoming event or task is displayed at the top of the homepage. The functionality of both events and tasks is still under discussion.

The arrow brings up the list of booked events or pending tasks.

Below, via the offers, you can access the offers page where you can, for example, book events.

Here you can find an overview of booked events (“My event bookings”) and a list of events (“Find event”).

Events will be added here gradually. Please be patient.

Membership and profile

Your membership

This feature will remain deactivated for now. You can change your membership details (name, address, contribution, other information) via a form that you can find under Top News Links & Tools.

Profile

Here you set the name you'll be displayed with in the app as a member and in messages. Your name is pre-filled with the beginning of your email address, so please change it. Unlike WhatsApp, we're truly among ourselves here, so we'd prefer your real name, or even a nickname if you like. For example: Max "The Beast" Mustermann. You can also upload your avatar or picture here.

Here you can also change the email address used for logging into the app. Important: this does not change the email address for the club. You currently change that by informing the Members Gang (members@metality.org).

You can change your password via “Open security settings”. Here you can also set up a second factor using an authenticator app (Google, Microsoft, etc.). We recommend this.

Caution: Keep away!Below you can delete your Campai account. This will not delete your club account, nor will it allow you to leave the club. It will simply exclude you from club communications.

Additional

Here you can also edit your profile, as well as "change clubs" if you are a member of another club that also uses campai.

What are the next steps?

Kurabu will be shut down on June 30, 2026. You can delete the app after that date. We are currently working on additional features and will release them gradually.

To reiterate: for the time being, we will continue to use WhatsApp for communication at festivals, within your chapters, and for concerts. The switch to Campai will take place at a later date. We will keep you updated!
