- Over 900 new Metality members. (Total now almost 1500!)
- 9 home schooling students sponsored
- Donated another 666 sleeping bags for the Outsiders Outside. Plus 150 sleeping bags and tents collected for the homeless at the festivals in the summer. BTW: Our fourth fundraising campaign, which is still ongoing, has also got off to a good start. So well, in fact, that we have already been able to order the first 444 sleeping bags from Hanseatic Help, which we will be sending directly to those in need in the next few days via our local chapters. - Great crowds again this year at our large stands at the W:O:A and Metal Hammer Paradise - as well as at 30 other events
For many of us, the most memorable Metality moment of the year was certainly when we all heaved Özcan through the muddy swamps of Wacken in his wheelchair and let him fly in front of the stage. The video went viral.
Let's raise our glasses to the coming year! We are confident that it will be just as successful as the past one. If not even better. We already have a few things in the pipeline. For example, a members' meeting as our first major event? And make a note of 6 June in your diary. You'll all have a date then!
Let's drink to Lemmy, who would have turned 78 on 24 December! Lemmy, it was a celebration and a great honour for us to have been there when some of your ashes were laid to rest on the Holy Ground in the summer.
