Kaum hat 2026 angefangen, geht’s bei uns auch schon richtig ab – und natürlich haben wir die ersten heißen News direkt für euch am Start. Worum dreht sich der Spaß? Ihr könnt euch schon mal das dritte Metality Metal Meeting fett im Kalender anstreichen und eure Festivalpläne endlich konkret machen. Ab sofort gibt’s unsere Updates auch bequem über WhatsApp – abonnieren und nie wieder was verpassen! Außerdem wollen wir euch unbedingt von unseren Herzensaktionen erzählen: Wir sind gerade fleißig dabei, Schlafsäcke und Isomatten an Obdachlose zu verteilen. Und das nächste Beer Tasting steht auch schon wieder vor der Tür.

Auf zur dritten Ausgabe! Metality Metal Meeting diesmal am 21.11.26 in Potsdam

Zur Mitgliederversammlung und zum Metality Metal Meeting (MMM) 2026 geht´s am Samstag, 21. November 2026, nach Potsdam! Der Lindenpark Potsdam-Babelsberg bietet dafür den passenden Rahmen – ganz im Sinne von Metality: Family. But Louder. Community trägt, Austausch bewegt. Extreme Nice People. Wir werden für ein lautes Programm sorgen, aber für die Bands und das Rahmenprogramm müsst ihr euch noch etwas gedulden.

Was wir für euch schon mal haben, sind Hotelempfehlungen: Seminaris Hotel Avendi Potsdam, B&B Hotel Potsdam, Holiday Inn – the niu Amity, NH Potsdam, MAXX by Steigenberger Sanssouci, Hotel Am Luisenplatz, DJH Haus der Jugend. Für mehr Auswahl könnt ihr auch direkt im Potsdam-Zentrum buchen – viele Hotels sind per ÖPNV oder Taxi schnell erreichbar.

Die ersten Schlafsäcke für Obdachlose sind schon am Start!

16 Chapter haben im Dezember schon ihre Schlafsäcke bekommen und fleißig an die passenden Organisationen weitergereicht. In den nächsten Tagen werden auch die restlichen Chapter beliefert. Ein paar (große) Zahlen: Dieses Jahr haben wir satte 130.000 € in die Aktion gepumpt! Insgesamt gehen je ca. 2300 Schlafsäcke und Isomatten in Deutschland, Luxemburg und dieses Jahr auch San Diego raus! Das Traurige ist aber, der Bedarf wäre noch viel größer!

Leute, wir wollen schon früh wissen, wer von euch dieses Jahr Bock auf die Metality Camps hat – egal ob Wacken, Summer Breeze, Rockharz oder neu dabei: das RockHard in Gelsenkirchen! Dort hängt’s besonders von eurem Interesse ab, ob wir überhaupt ein Camp auf die Beine stellen. Also, lasst die Tastatur glühen und meldet euch fix, falls ihr’s noch nicht erledigt habt. As soon as 2026 has begun, we're already really getting started - and of course we have the first hot news right at the start for you. You can already mark the third Metality Metal Meeting in bold in your calendar and finally make your festival plans concrete. From now on, our updates are also available conveniently via a WhatsApp Channel – subscribe and never miss anything again! We also want to tell you about our heartfelt actions: We are currently busy distributing sleeping bags and sleeping mats to the homeless. And another beer tasting is coming up.

On to the third issue! Metality Metal Meeting this time on 21. November 26 in Potsdam

The annual general meeting and the Metality Metal Meeting (MMM) 2026 will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, in Potsdam! The Lindenpark Potsdam-Babelsberg offers the right setting for this - in the spirit of Metality: Family. But Louder. Extreme Nice People. We will make sure there is a loud program, but you will have to be patient for the bands and the support program. What we already have for you are hotel recommendations: Seminaris Hotel Avendi Potsdam, B&B Hotel Potsdam, Holiday Inn – the niu Amity, NH Potsdam, MAXX by Steigenberger Sanssouci, Hotel Am Luisenplatz, DJH Haus der Jugend. For more choice, you can also book directly at Potsdam-city centre – many hotels can be reached quickly by public transport or taxi.

The first sleeping bags for the homeless are already out!

16 chapters have already received their sleeping bags in December and passed them on to the appropriate organizations. In the next few days, the remaining chapters will also be supplied. A few (big) numbers: This year we put a whopping €130,000 into the campaign! A total of about 2300 sleeping bags and sleeping mats will be sent out throughout Germany, Luxembourg and this year also San Diego! But the sad thing is that the need would be much greater!

We are starting the 2026 tasting season with concentrated power, where friends of Metal and craft beer nerds alike will get their money's worth. On 07.02.2026 at 20:00 we will embark on a farewell journey from the winter break with Words of Farewell, moderated by our Metal Hammer veteran Gunnar Sauermann and equipped by the smallest and coolest brewery in Franconia, the Braumanufaktur Hertl. At the end, their master brewer David Hertl even sends us on a search for the "gin of life". For each package sold, Braumanufaktur Hertl will donate €2 to Metality.
