🤘 W: O: A – What a blast!
It was loud, muddy and awesome! With almost 500 metalheads in our own camp, we were more strongly represented at Wacken Open Air 2025 than ever before. A total of more than 1,000 members celebrated on the Holy Ground. But not only the number of our members on the Holy Ground was strong, but also our actions: Although Friday is Flyday could not take place due to mud reasons, our Metalityheads spontaneously organized a towing action for wheelchair users. In addition, Metality accompanied a metalhead with a disability to the festival. Our sleeping bag campaign collected more than 300 items that will still benefit the homeless, including sleeping bags, sleeping mats, tents, air mattresses and canned food donations. Not to forget the great time we had in our camp and in the party tent: readings, choraoke, ballroom party – we had the time of our lives! And thanks to our pool noodle flags, which were used for the first time this year, we also celebrated properly in front of the stages in the infield – and thus made it into many concert livestreams with our logo.

🤘 Summer Breeze Open Air – Full Metal Power!
Hot and energetic: For the second time, we were at the start of the Summer Breeze Open Air – this time not only with a camp, but also with our own information booth directly on the main path. It's amazing what a presence Metality already has in the public: We were represented in the festival app, on the SBOA website and on the site map, including several banners on the infield. As a result, many visitors to the stand already knew us. Media such as BR and Rock Antenne brought us in front of the microphone. With our sleeping bag campaign, we collected 235 pieces of camping equipment at several stations. Donations went to Aktion Brücke in Germering, Trott-war in Stuttgart, Christophorus Würzburg and the SKM Wohnungsnotfallhiife in Heidelberg. Metality supported as a neighbourhood help in Accessible Camping, fulfilled a wheelchair user's heart's desire at the Hämatom concert and set up a circle pit. In addition, we also shone at Summer Breeze with pool noodle action in front of the stages.
🤘Rockharz Open Air: Premiere successful!
All good things come in threes: At the Rockharz Open Air we were at the start for the first time with our own information booth and a small camp. The stand was centrally located at the wristband distribution, two banners in the infield ensured visibility - as did the multiple mentions of the RHZ on their website and in the site map. Interviews with Metal.de and Radio 21 gave us additional reach, and the response was so great that we ran out of flyers in the end. The members were committed, many actively helped at the stand or in actions for the inclusion camp. The response was so strong that Lebenshilfe Braunschweig even had to send helpers back home. And it was also a complete success financially: a little more than 800 € ended up in the donation box – community priceless!
