How amazing was that?!
For the 25th anniversary of their album Infest, Papa Roach not only tore up the stage with four huge shows in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf, but they also donated €20,000 to us! On the final day of their Germany tour in Düsseldorf, the band handed over a donation check to Metality e.V. - as a sign of recognition and support for our social projects and our mission to connect metalheads worldwide. "We aim to always ‘Leave A Light On’ for those who are struggling and encourage anyone to seek help they may need," say Papa Roach, who actively advocate for mental health awareness.

And here’s the next big piece of news! The latest issue of Metal Hammer features a two-page story about Metality— a real breakthrough moment for us. It’s both motivation and confirmation that we’re on the right track. In the article, we also publicly spoke for the first time about our new social project, "Support Your Local Festival." Not enough good news yet? Here we go! As you may have seen on our social media channels, our local chapters are once again distributing sleeping bags and sleeping mats to homeless people. This winter, we have invested around €80,000 (!) in gear for the Outsiders outside. Nearly half of that was funded through donations, while the rest came from your membership contributions.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to every single one of you who made this possible! (But the harsh truth is: The demand is rising every year and still exceeds our resources.) |
