Back from Wacken. Exhausted but overjoyed. Head
full of unforgettable moments and encounters. Calves steeled by the mud. And
still that tingling in the belly. We are still:
Overwhelmed by the support and the
number of visitors we received. Our stand at the Foundation Camp was almost
bursting at the seams the whole time. As a result, we gained over 130 (!) new
members at Holy Ground alone. Btw: If any of you didn't get your member patch
in the crowd (or registered from somewhere else), write to us at
members@metality.org. We'll send it to you by post. A warm welcome to all new
members of Family but louder! Also, log on to our homepage, join our chapters
and genre teams and download the app.
Proud that so many well-known
names did us the honour and visited us at our stand. Thank you, Sabina Classen,
Torsten Sträter, Mambo Kurt, Aurel Manthei & Thomas Jensen, Lydia &
Michi and Nico Rose.
Flashed by our crowdsurfing
action. Moved by the spirit that reigns when you grant "Ötzi" his
heart's desire in his wheelchair and let him crowdsurf in front of the stage.
For all of you who haven't seen the video, here it is: https://fb.watch/mkQKZZIHTE/
Thrilled by the great atmosphere
and the team spirit, which the rain couldn't dampen even in our camp. Even if not,
everyone made it through the traffic jam and mud. We will make up for the
party. We promise.
Impressed by how many members
made it through the rain and through the whole village to our annual general
meeting and how good and committed the atmosphere was there. (By no means a
matter of course in other clubs!). Executive Board and auditors were re-elected
unanimously. All further information can be found in the attached presentation.
Keep on the good work!
Your Metality Team
